Music of the Carolinas: The Lang Sisters Band

Sunday, June 11, 3 p.m.

This special performance features Appalachian, bluegrass, and folk music with sisters Chloe and Jessica Lang. Chloe, age 19, is a strong rhythm player and vocalist; Jessica, age 15, complements her sister with guitar, mandolin, and vocals.

Both have been inducted into Tomorrow’s Bluegrass Stars. The duet is joined today by Sam Stage, age 14, an accomplished fiddler and vocalist, and Jef Walter, a Durham-based musician and instructor who leads the Carolina PineCones, a bluegrass band for youth aged 13 to 17.
