North Carolina’s Original Copy of the Bill of Rights

December 14, 2016 - December 18, 2016

From December 14-18, North Carolina's Original Copy of the Bill of Rights will be on display at the end of the exhibit The Story of North Carolina to celebrate its 225th anniversary. The document experienced quite the journey to get here, starting when a Union soldier stole it in 1865 before it was recovered in 2008 after an FBI sting operation.

No photography of the Bill of Rights will be permitted. Thank you for your understanding.
