The Museum Shop, operated by the museum’s membership group, the North Carolina Museum of History Associates, is a great place to purchase souvenirs and gifts that reflect the heritage and traditions of North Carolina. Merchandise at the Museum Shop has been chosen to reflect the collection of the North Carolina Museum of History and to help tell the story of North Carolina and its people.

Located just inside the Jones Street entrance to the museum, across from the Legislative Building, Pharaoh’s at the Museum serves a variety of fresh and homemade favorites with a southern flair.

Wireless internet access is free and open to the public.

Other Fun Things

The museum hosts two festivals every January and November, the African American Cultural Celebration and the American Indian Heritage Celebration, respectively. Both festivals are free to the public
