Home / Membership / Join Us By becoming an Associates member, you help preserve one of North Carolina's most important assets: its heritage. The Associates make it possible for the North Carolina Museum of History to go to citizens across the state through hundreds of educational programs for children and adults. The Associates are especially pleased to have funded an educational resource guide for middle schools in all one hundred counties since 1983. The Teacher Resource Guide, a guidebook to the museum's exhibits, tours, and outreach programs, is sent to fourth- and eighth-grade teachers as well as to individuals and groups upon request. Associates membership dues also helped finance a major exhibition, North Carolina and the Civil War, which opened in September 1999. Associates membership brings special privileges including discounts at the Museum Shop, opportunities to participate in history-related trips and tours, and special invitations to exhibit openings and other events. Becoming an Associate has never been easier. There are several ways to join. Call the Associates office at 919-807-7850 Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) to request an application, or apply online (Visa and MasterCard accepted).
