One aspect of the Museum of History's mission is to interpret North Carolina history through the acquisition, preservation, and presentation of artifacts.
Registrars and artifact handlers document, store, and maintain artifacts, while conservators preserve objects and provide the public information on conservation and restoration techniques.
Curators research artifacts and topics relevant to the collections and develop exhibits. Museum staff provide information to individuals and assist other museums and institutions.
