DETAILS: Join the North Carolina Museum of History for Harmony: A Day of Heritage Music. Harmony highlights North Carolina’s musical heritage through a captivating lineup of performances, featuring old-time music, American Indian longhouse singing, flamenco guitar, Appalachian ballads and more.

This free event kicks off with lobby performances from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and two free ticketed performances in Daniels Auditorium from 6 to 9 p.m. Visitors can enjoy a range of musical styles, including old-time and traditional music, southeast American Indian longhouse singing, authentic flamenco and more.

Harmony: A Day of Heritage Music is made possible with funding from Come Hear NC and the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. This collaboration underscores our commitment to preserving and celebrating the rich musical traditions that enrich our state.

SCHEDULE: 

11 a.m.: Eliza Meyer and Special Guests; Old-Time and Traditional Music

12:15 p.m.: Cypress Society; Traditional Southeast American Indian Longhouse Singing

1:45 p.m.: Eduardo de Rosamaria; Flamenco

3:15 p.m.: Curtis Pope; R & B Funk

4 p.m.: Wake and District; Traditional Pipes and Drums

6 p.m.: Sheila Kay Adams, Donna Ray Norton, Melanie Rice, and William Ritter; 8th Generation Appalachian Ballad Singers

7:30 p.m.: Unspoken Tradition; Bluegrass
