Home / Our Sister Museums / Museum of the Albemarle / Volunteer Opportunities

Since its founding in 1967, the Museum of the Albemarle has thrived with the support of generous, dedicated, and enthusiastic volunteers working side by side with staff to care for the collection and to assist visitors. Today, volunteers share their knowledge as docents, help with the collection, bring history to life for children through hands-on history programs and living history demonstrations, and wield saws and hammers in restoring the North Carolina shad boat, an important part of the state's nautical history. To learn more about sharing your time and talents as a MOA volunteer, please call the museum at 252-335-0637.
