Longleaf Film Festival 2017

Celebrate the third annual Longleaf Film Festival at the North Carolina Museum of History.

Longleaf 2017 is a two-day, FREE-to-attend film festival that explores historical and contemporary stories from the state, the country, and the world through narrative and documentary movies. Workshops, meet-and-greets, and screenings will engage audiences and filmmakers. Plus: free popcorn and, on Saturday, pints from Oak & Dagger Public House, and smoky deliciousness from BBQ Proper food truck. May 12-13.

16th Annual African American Cultural Celebration

Join the statewide kickoff to Black History Month at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh. Named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, the 16th annual African American Cultural Celebration will feature more than 75 musicians, storytellers, dancers, chefs, historians, playwrights, authors, artists, reenactors, and more.
