A popular traveling exhibit from the Newseum opened at the North Carolina Museum of History on October 6, 2017.
The Boomer List: Photographs by Timothy Greenfield-‐Sanders was an exhibit of 20 large-format portraits that feature some of the most fascinating Americans born during the period after World War II (1946–1964)—the baby boom generation. All portraits were taken by renowned American photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.
Other parts of the exhibit included:
- a scent station that offers memorable aromas familiar to the generation,
- an interactive kiosk that reveals behind-the-scene candids and videos, and
- three timeline panels that spotlight some of the top news events and pop-culture moments of the generation.
The Boomer List: Photographs by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders was developed by the Newseum—an interactive museum of news located in Washington, DC, and online at newseum.org—in collaboration with AARP, the exclusive sponsor of The Boomer List exhibit.
