Join the NC Museum of History as we welcome guest speaker Jamie K. Oxendine to discuss what the American Revolution was to Native America. He will discuss which sides tribal nations supported and allied with across the colonies, emphasizing tribes in the southeast United States, including North Carolina.

Jamie K. Oxendine is a Native American author, educator, historian, speaker, and member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.  He is the author of Southeastern Woodland Designs (2018,) as well as an author and editor at PowWows.com. Oxendine has been an adjunct professor of Native American Studies at Bowling Green State University, Ohio State University, University of Toledo, and Lourdes University.  He also worked as the Native American liaison and education consultant for Ohio University.
